Lukus Vuci – Velk – Velkhe
Vulci was another great Etruscan city-state mainly orientated to maritime exchange and commercial relationships with Greece and the eastern Mediterranean area. the Romans conquered it in 280 BC making it straight away a Municipium.
Vulci was a centre of the bronze industry and ceramic art, archaeological evidence is proof today of its extraordinary production. It was right in this Etruscan location that the first art schools started their ceramic teachings following the examples of the Corinthian, Ionic and Attican styles.
